Round 3.

Arena Profile:

Nestled on the Victorian and South Australian Borders with the picturesque lower reaches of the Glenelg River at its door step is the small town of Nelson.

Roughly six hours drive from Melbourne and extremely close to South Australia it draws interest from Victorian and South Australian anglers" alike, building a great friendly rivalry and intense competition between states. The Glenelg River is navigable by boat from just above the mouth to 75km upstream creating endless fishing opportunities and the potential to comfortably hold a large number of competing teams.

All anglers fishing preferences are catered for in this river from sand flats at the mouth to the first boat ramp, countless steep limestone rock walls that drop into deep water, endless snaggy banks made up of tea tree snags, and intermittent shallow sections.

This river is a tournament angler"s paradise as there are always a number of options for teams to explore in a days competition angling. As the Glenelg River also holds a healthy population of mulloway it creates another great element to the Bream Classic in the heaviest mulloway prize.
